Dr Amy Hong

Amy Hong is a science communicator based at the University of Oxford and University College London, UK. Specialised in digital media, Amy has over 8 years of experience working with research centres, NGOs, museums, learned societies and enterprises. She has produced digital content for the Royal Institution and Genetics Society’s Centenary Celebration Collaboration Project and the institutional launch video for the Francis Crick Institute. Working with NGOs, her video campaign has attracted over 100,000 petitions which subsequently led to national policy change on rainforest protection in Malaysia. Amy is a member of the London Public Engagement Network; she has won 4 awards for her science communication efforts. Amy leads training on digital science communication at the African Science Literacy Network (ASLN), she also contributes as part of the core team to grant writing and digital content creation for ASLN.
