Samuel Oyejola is the Deputy Editor and Online Content Editor of Time Nigeria Magazine, a general interest magazine based in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city. Prior to this, he rose quickly from the ranks as a Correspondent for Newspeg Newspaper in Abuja, to become the Deputy Editor of the Magazine version of Newspeg in less than a decade into the profession. He is focused on agriculture, sustainable agriculture, Biotechnology, Biosafety and the Environment as it is related to agriculture and food security across the globe. Samuel Oyejola has attended various training and workshops on Conflict Sensitive reporting, Election Coverage and Reporting, Business and Human Rights News Coverage and Reporting, among many others. He is also Fellow of African Science Literacy Network (ASLN) and a founding member of Young Journalists Forum (YJF). He is a graduate of Mass Communication from Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State, with vast experience in Print, Broadcast and the New Media. Apart from agriculture and science reporting, Samuel has being consistent in reporting humanitarian crisis in the North-East and other parts of Nigeria. He is passionate about the plights of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the country.
