Bamas Victoria

Bamas Victoria is a multimedia journalist based in Nigeria. Bamas has over 9 years' experience working in the media sector. She has produced digital content for Daily Trust Newspaper, PACFaH, Leadership newspaper, Abuja Literary Society, St Paul's Anglican Church, Nyanya, Ethiopian tourism board, Words Rhymes & Rhythm where she was the creative director etc. She was part of the team that won a 2015 WANIFRA young reader prize for their Read2Grow project. She is currently the team lead for FactCheckHub an initiative of the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) that seeks to combat misinformation and fake news in Africa. She serves as a core team member of the African Science Literacy Netowrk (ALSN), provide inputs on ASLN grant applications and helps in facilitating media partnerships.
