"It's not just about learning science, but communicating it effectively is the most important. Holistic science communication is key to the end of any successful research"

Olagunju Abdulrahman Adewuyi is from Iseyin, Oyo State, Southwestern Nigeria. I am an undergraduate from the Department of Physiology, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. I am passionate about scientific research, and my primary research interest is in molecular biology and genetics. I have been involved in education-based initiatives, especially in promoting science, health and youth development. I have been promoting public understanding of science through outreach programs through the international Physiological Society, where we do outreach programs in schools. As part of my interest in solving problems in communities, I am a member of Enactus, a global community of students, academics and business leaders committed to the vision of creating a better and more sustainable world through entrepreneur actions by initiating ideas and business solutions with passion and innovation. I am committed to the improvement of science and its communication in Africa by thriving with our team in African Science Literacy Network (ASLN). I am passionate about the enhancement of scientific research capacity in Nigeria/Africa, and in inspiring the next generation of research scientists on the continent. I am a team player with decent communication skills and cultural awareness gained from different parts of the country. I relish challenges and I'm willing to assimilate and apply every skill I have to empower sciences, its communication and health sector in Nigeria and across Africa. I love writing, and I am open to any work on science/medical writing as a freelancer, intern or volunteer in any publishing company or pharmaceutical industry.
