Segun Olaniyi is a journalist and Science Correspondent with The Guardian Newspapers. He reports activities in the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology. He has participated and attended several workshops outside the science coverage. HE was induced as an African Science Literacy Network (ASLN) Fellow in 2019. In September 2015, he won an Award of Appreciation for Being a Worthy Partner in the Anti-Corruption Crusade organised by the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN), Research and Training Arm of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). In October 2017, he won the Best Human Rights Reporter of the Year by Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA).
